    FAQ's

Ques 1. Why should I Choose MaxioCel over other available dressings?
Ans. MaxioCel is easy to apply and remove advanced wound care dressing with 360-degree care parameters. It provides overall wound improvement and closure by ensuring the following-

Control of any blood loss(mild) from the wound during cleaning
    • Pain Relief on application site
    • Absorbing all wound discharges
    • Providing infection control
    • Faster Wound Healing
    • Reducing Scar formation

Ques 2. What should be the ideal frequency of change while using MaxioCel?
Ans. The dressing done using MaxioCel should be changed every 48 hours. Except if the wound is heavily discharging, in that case, it should be every 24 hours.

Ques 3. How to apply and remove MaxioCel?
Ans. Clean the wound as per your doctor’s suggested protocol, then peel open the MaxioCel pouch and directly apply it on the wound surface. Either of the sides can be the contact layer as it is active on both sides. Now, cover and secure MaxioCel with a secondary dressing like Gauze.
For Removal, flush the MaxioCel attached to the wound surface with saline solution and gently peel back until it removes entirely.

Ques 4. Can a single unit of MaxioCel be used more than once?
Ans. No, MaxioCel dressing is a single-use only product. Opening the package compromises its sterility. Therefore, the unused dressing should not be stored for later application.

Ques 5. How to choose the right size of MaxioCel dressing for any wound?
Ans. The best way to choose the right size of MaxioCel dressing for application is to measure the wound in length and width with a wound measuring scale or a ruler scale (ensure, it should not touch the wound surface). Now select the size which is slightly bigger than the wound. It helps in complete wound coverage during the treatment course. In case of large wounds, multiple MaxioCel dressings can be used to ensure coverage area.

Ques 6. Which variant of MaxioCel can be used as wound filler for cavity wounds?
Ans. For smaller cavities, MX0510 (5cm*10cm) can be selected. For deeper wounds like grade 3 or 4 bedsores, tunnelling wounds, deep debrided wounds, or any large cavities, the ideal variant would be MX2530 (2.5cm*30 cm).

Ques 7. Can MaxioCel cause Allergies?
Ans. There have been no known reported allergic reactions from the use of MaxioCel. Chitosan used in MaxioCel does not contain any protein or allergic components.
