Follow the steps:
- Remove Axiostat Haemostatic Dressing from the sterile pack
- Place Axiostat over the wound/ bleeding site
- Apply pressure until dressing sticks to the wound
- Apply secondary dressing to secure Axiostat in position
- Irrigate the site with water/ saline (room temperature)
- Remove gently
- Caution: Do not remove or lift dressing once applied, not even to check Haemostasis
The bleed has been successfully stopped with 80% reduced chances of rebleeding.
